Paleteria El Chavo - Authentic Mexican Ice Cream & Delicious Eats in Grandview, MO

First time at this location and I was impressed how delicious is the food, good price and a variety to choose from. The restaurant is very clean, the restrooms impeccable. Recommend it

Paleteria El Chavo is like a trip to a colorful culture! The endless food options, from lunch and dinner to late-night snacks and sweet treats, make it a go-to spot any time of day. The dining area is beautifully decorated, the staff is super friendly, and the food is always delicious. A fantastic experience all around!

The service is excellent, depending of who helps you take your order they take the time to explain or help you choose, the place has a great atmosphere, it’s clean, well lighted, clean restrooms. The food is fresh and tasty.

The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because there is sometimes a language barrier also they now charge for extra sauce. The sauce comes in a tiny cup and everyone I've taken there says the same thing. That they never get enough. I've switched to not using their sauce at all and instead using Herdez salsa verde. I also stopped doing delivery because the last 3 times they put no sauce at all in the bag as well as added onion when I selected remove. The food itself is delicious. Just be patient when ordering and have a translator app on your phone if needed. Personally I've took to start trying to learn Spanish for myself and to hopefully be more welcoming to others. Fyi their ice cream is crazy good. Side note - the music is "sometimes" way too loud. Like can't hear yourself type of loud.

We stopped by Paleteria El Chavo late at night for some ice cream, and it was a great experience overall. The ice cream was delicious, and the mango smoothie we ordered was super refreshing with a really authentic mango flavor—definitely a highlight! We also tried the churros, and while they tasted really good, there was a small mix-up with the order. We had asked for the cream-filled churros, but were only given regular ones with strawberry and chocolate drizzle. That said, the staff was friendly and helpful, and they even gave our kids free samples to help them choose what they wanted, which was a really thoughtful touch. Even though we came close to closing time, they never rushed us and made sure we were taken care of. It’s the kind of spot where you feel welcome, even late at night. If you’re ever in the area and craving a sweet treat, Paleteria El Chavo is definitely worth checking out!

I don't really eat out for Mexican food but this place was amazing I loved everything I had and I had a lot. This place is super underrated and needs to be on the map as a Top food choice. I will definitely put them on my show that will be out soon displays restaurants that don't get much publicity.
